The republic of Ireland Men’s International Team are managed by Martin O Neill and assisted by Roy Keane. Martin O'Neill, born March 1 1952, is regarded as one of the most successful Irish managers of all time. The Kilrea, Co Derry, native's management career has included many successes including leading Celtic FC to the 2003 UEFA Cup Final. In his five-year tenure of the Scottish giants O'Neill led the club to three league titles, three Scottish Cup successes and a Scottish League Cup win. Martin played for such clubs as Norwich and Manchester City. Martins assistant coach is Roy Keane, Need we say more? A fantastic, committed footballer Roy played mainly for Manchester United and won many trophies with Untied.

Ireland highest qualification in the world cup came against Italy in 1990 were we reached the quarter finals. Players such as John Aldridge, David O Leary, Paul McGrath and Mick McCarty brought us to this stage and brought joy and excitement to the whole country which has never been repeated. Ireland where managed by Jack Charlton at the time, Jack, a English man gave Ireland the courage to take on the world.
